Hive Inspection Workshop

A workshop addressing how to conduct an inspection of a honeybee hive will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 8:45 am to 3:30 pm. The morning classroom inspection will be held at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, Virginia, with an afternoon hands-on portion at a beeyard in Meadowview. The workshop will be presented by VT Extension Apiculturist Dr. James Wilson.

BE SURE TO BRING YOUR BEE SUIT, VEIL, AND GLOVES IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND THE AFTERNOON FIELD DEMONSTRATION!

The afternoon field session will be held at the bee yard of David "Tater" Miller at 25155 Walden Road in Abingdon, a fifteen-minute drive from the Higher Education Center. Tater owns Beekeepers' Woodworking and Apiary Supply.
